To help make the Symposium accessible for individuals who would otherwise be unable to attend due to resource constraints, 4C is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships to help cover registration, travel, and lodging costs. Eligible applicants include representatives of Tribes, Indigenous-led organizations, community-based organizations, and local governments.
Scholarships are limited to one recipient per organization and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with need and background taken into consideration. Not all applicants are guaranteed to receive scholarships, and some requests may be partially awarded depending on available funds. Scholarship applications will continue to be accepted until all funds are allocated. Applications submitted by October 16th will receive priority consideration.
The Symposium is designed for local governments, public agencies, Tribes, Indigenous-led organizations, community-based organizations, nonprofits, academic and research institutions, consultants, businesses, and other partners serving communities across the Central Coast, which encompasses the following counties (from north to south): Santa Cruz, San Benito, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. We also welcome State agencies, funders, and other organizations interested in learning more about the Central Coasts’ climate resilience initiatives and priorities to join us.
