Our Members

4C’s membership network includes over 30 organizations working to advance a variety of equitable climate adaptation, resilience, and mitigation initiatives across the 6-county Central Coast region, which includes from north to south Santa Cruz, San Benito, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties. Our members represent city and county governments, state agencies, regional planning agencies and JPAs, nonprofits, community-based organizations, social justice organizations, tribal organizations, educational institutions, and businesses. Our members bring diverse perspectives to the 4C community and collaborate to advance the equitable implementation of climate adaptation and mitigation solutions.

4C members gain access to a range of benefits designed to advance impactful climate action. They connect with fellow members, climate leaders, academics, and professionals through quarterly membership calls, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. Members network with practitioners in the Central Coast region and share best practices, innovative solutions, and replicable strategies for climate mitigation and adaptation. They also receive support in securing regional grant funding and advancing key initiatives.

Additionally, members stay informed with up-to-date climate change news, resources, opportunities, and events. They engage with efforts to align state, regional, and local research, policies, and projects, and contribute to the development of impactful solutions. They expand their leadership and awareness of equitable climate action and can put it into action through working groups dedicated to driving adaptive solutions.
